Computair visit AMCA annual meeting 2024
In October our Managing Director Richard and Head of AMC products Andy headed to Honolulu in for the AMCA (Air Movement and Control Association) Annual Meeting 2024. The meeting took place at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort, against the beautiful backdrop of Mount Lēʻahi and the gorgeous Waikiki beach in the foreground.
AMCA’s annual meeting offers an unmissable chance to connect with industry colleagues and keep updated on the latest air movement trends and developments. This year’s agenda encompassed keynote speeches, discussion forums with panellists from organisations such as AMCA, AHRI and Eurovent, and more informal fireside chats with AMCA’s Board of Directors.
Computair were proud to be Silver Exhibitor Sponsors at the event. Richard and Andy enjoyed the opportunity to show the latest developments in fan selection software to attendees and to discuss its importance, for example, in meeting the latest FEI regulations.
It’s always a privilege to meet and collaborate in the atmosphere of the AMCA annual meeting, which is one of discussing new ideas and the advancement of the industry. A Computair name-check during the speeches and seeing the company logo onscreen during the President’s Dinner were a gratifying way to wrap up our sponsorship for 2024.
It’s a considerable achievement creating an event on this scale, from organising the accommodation and meeting venue to planning the agenda, guest registration and programme of leisure activities to the President’s Dinner on the final evening. Thanks must go to everyone at AMCA involved in the meticulous behind-the-scenes planning.
Andy commented ‘It’s a long way to go, but so worthwhile to meet regularly with friends and colleagues from the association and global industry leaders. It is vital for us to ensure our software reflects the needs of manufacturers selling their fans in today’s global markets. We will certainly be attending next year’s AGM in Dubai. Thank you AMCA for organising such an excellent event.’
