Travelling by Road
The M1 motorway is one of the main north/ south motorways in England, connecting London with Leeds in Yorkshire. The M1 connects with the M25 (the London orbital Motorway) at the M25 junction number 21 (which is junction number 6 on the M1). Computair's offices are in the village of Toddington in Bedfordshire, which is close to M1 junction number 12, about 30 miles north of London.
At M1 junction 12, head west towards Toddington. As you proceed through the village you will go past the village green, turn left after the Angel public house into Luton Road. Crowbush Farm is a private road, on the right just after Bradford Road.
Travelling by Rail
The nearest British Rail railway station to our offices is HARLINGTON. This is one of the smaller commuter stops on the Bedford to London to Brighton line. Beyond Bedford to the North, Intercity trains run to Corby, Kettering, Derby, etc..
If you are staying in, or travelling through London, you will need to catch a London Underground train or a taxi to the British Rail train station called Kings Cross Thameslink. (Do not get confused with the British Rail train station that is just called Kings Cross, as that would be the wrong station). See national rail for detailed route maps. ( London & the South East ).
From Kings Cross Thameslink, you need to catch a train that is travelling north (towards a town called Bedford, which would be the train's final destination). Do not go as far as Bedford, you need to get off the train at Harlington. The train journey should take approximately 45 minutes. The trains generally leave Kings Cross Thameslink at 30 minute intervals, 15 minutes past the hour and 15 minutes to the hour.
When you arrive at Harlington station, please telephone our offices and we will be with you in approximately five minutes (Tel : 01525 874426).
Travelling by Air
If you are flying from within the UK, Ireland or mainland Europe, try to get a fight to Luton airport. From there, telephone us and we can collect you (Tel : 01525 874426).
If you cannot get a flight to Luton airport then try to fly to Gatwick airport. From within the terminal at Gatwick, you can then board a train on the main Bedford to London to Brighton First Capital Connect line and you will be able to get a train directly to HARLINGTON station - see Travelling by Rail. The train journey will take approximately one and half hours.
If you cannot get a flight to Gatwick, the next choice is Heathrow. From within the Terminal at Heathrow, take a London Underground train directly into the heart of London and get off at Kings Cross Thameslink. (It is only the one underground train from Heathrow to King's Cross Thameslink i.e. you do not have to change trains during this part of the journey.) From King's Cross Thameslink you will be able to get a train directly to HARLINGTON station - see Travelling by Rail.
It is advisable not to get a flight to Stanstead airport unless you are planning to hire a car or pay a very expensive Taxi fare. If you are travelling by car from Stanstead, the easiest route to our offices would be to travel south down the M10 until you reach the M25, then travel anti-clockwise around the M25 until you reach the M25 junction number 21 (not 21A) and take the M1 north - see Travelling by Road.
